Geoff McCausland (BMus, ARCT, Pro.Dir, REALTOR®) helps businesses, investors, developers, and property owners make informed real estate decisions that support long-term growth and success.
A Saint John native, Geoff returned home in 2026 to join Brunswick Brokers as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor after serving as General Manager of Mallette-Goring Inc., a boutique commercial real estate brokerage in Sudbury, Ontario. His experience spans commercial sales and leasing, development consulting, project management, feasibility analysis, property and business evaluation, and commercial lease review.
Throughout his career, Geoff has worked with clients to assess opportunities, navigate complex development challenges, and move projects from concept through execution. His background in development and project management provides clients with a practical understanding of site selection, approvals, development potential, project viability, and long-term asset value.
From 2018-2022 he worked full-time on Greater Sudbury City Council, responsible for an organization with approx. 2000 employees and a combined annual budget of $824 million. Geoff served as Treasurer of Greater Sudbury Hydro, on the board of Conservation Sudbury, as Chair of the Community Services Committee and as Vice-Chair of the City’s Planning Committee – responsible for land-use policies, rezoning applications, and real estate matters. He spearheaded changes to modernize residential and commercial parking requirements, eliminate barriers to housing construction, and strategically reduce local development charges.
A lifelong entrepreneur, Geoff has also built a diverse career in the arts, hospitality, education, and small business. An accomplished violinist, violist, and fiddle player, he has performed in 14 countries, taught hundreds of students, helped launch an acclaimed local restaurant, and worked on both sides of the camera in the film industry.
Geoff is passionate about Strong Towns principles, sustainable development, and helping businesses and communities thrive. He believes that successful real estate decisions drive prosperity not only for his clients, but for the entire community.
